Spicy Lady Chef's Food Guide To Santorini

Spicy Lady Chef's Food Guide To Santorini

We love the Santorini sights, and we also love the food!

1. FIRA> Mama's House> Main Square Fira, Fira 84700, Greece
Home-run restaurant that serves great food at reasonable price. You have got to try their specialties - #1 Lamb Campama and #2 Chicken Souvlaki - together with the delicious wine!

SpicyTip: Since it's a home-run restaurant, you have got to have a little patience as the service may be slow during peak hours.

SPECIALTY #1 : LAMB CAMPAMA

SPECIALTY #2 : CHICKEN SOUVLAKI

2. FIRA > Naoussa Tavern > Lagoudera Shopping Center, Fira.
REALLY popular restaurant that serves great seafood platter. I especially liked their generous portion of seafood platter and moussaka.

SpicyTip: Reach there immediately after sunset (before 7pm) or risk waiting for half an hour for seats!

SO MANY WHITE WASHED WALLS AND BLUE WINDOWS - LOOK OUT FOR THE NAOUSSA SIGN!

SPECIALTY #1: BEETROOT APPETIZER

SPECIALTY #2: MOUSSAKA

SPECIALTY #3: SEAFOOD PLATTER FOR 4

3. OIA > MELANIO CAFE > Village, Center, Oia, Greece
A must visit patisserie for those sweet tooth. Serves numerous desserts in various flavors. I liked all the cakes there!

SpicyTip: Consider take away at 2.65 euros and catch the beautiful Oia sunset (dine in will cost 6euros!)

4. PYRGOS > SANTOS WINERY
Finally there has to be some shopping to round up the adventures in Santorini and Santos Winery is the best place for souvenir and local product shopping.

SpicyTip: Try their 6 wine sampler set before you decide which wine is the best for you!

ENJOY GREAT WINE AND FANTASTIC VIEW

SPECIALTY: TRY VINSANTO - SANTORINI SPECIALTY WINE.

I can't wait to try some Santorini inspired recipes when I return home. Let me know if you have got any good recipe to recommend!
